Description

Schweizer’s reagent is a metal amine complex. This dark blue compound is used in the purification of cellulose. Evaporation of these solutions leaves a light blue copper hydroxide residue, reflecting the instability of the copper-ammonia bond. If carried out under ammonia flow, dark blue needle-like crystals of tetrammine are formed. It is manufactured for use in laboratory experiments.

It is prepared for experimental use in middle school science or high school physics, chemistry or biology laboratories with packaging suitable for school use. Our school laboratory chemicals are of technical quality and are produced with the Rokim brand and assurance.
