They are made of borosilicate 3.3 glass, which is resistant to heat and almost all chemicals. They are used in distillation mechanisms to ensure the connection of the condenser and the balloon. It is designed for thermometer use with the help of the upper female hilt, threaded adapter or thermometer pocket. There is a side male chili that makes a 75 degree angle compared to the central female chili.
