Description

With this experimental apparatus, it is possible to demonstrate inertia practically and we can explain Newton’s 1st law of motion impressively. We put the ball on the square on the vertical pipe and stretch and release the spring. The square plate on the horse jumps out of its place, the ball falls into its place inside the vertical pipe and remains motionless as if nothing happened. It is possible to explain inertia using physics terms such as potential energy and acceleration with the experiment.

Newton’s First Law

Unless there is a net external force, a stationary object continues to remain stationary or a moving object continues to move at a constant speed. Newton’s first law of motion states that there must be a reason for any change in speed. An object sliding on a table or floor slows down due to the net friction force acting on this object. However, it continues to move at a constant speed in a frictionless environment.
