It is used in momentum experiments that explain the conservation and transfer of momentum.

This apparatus consists of a curved rail with a base at one end. The base has a brace to hold a ball at the appropriate height for center-to-center collision with a second ball rolling on the track. The runway is flat, so the collision occurs only in the horizontal plane, which simplifies the calculations.

This set consists of one piece track and base pallet, 2 steel and 2 glass balls. The set is in a cardboard box.
